GETTING THE EDGE - The Valley Wildcats and Dieppe Commandos both entered Sunday afternoon's Maritime Junior Hockey League game in Dieppe in second place in their respective divisions. Just as Jeremy Doucet of the Commandos gets the edge on Kaden Ruest of the Wildcats in the picture above the Commandos had a 5-4 edge on the Wildcats at the final buzzer. TWO MARITIMERS ON WOMEN’S TEAM

Two Nova Scotia female hockey players, who both play university hockey in the United States, were among the 23 players that have been selected to be a part of Canada’s National Women’s Team for the 2014 4-Nations Cup, taking place November 4-8 at the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, B.C. The two, both forwards, are Jillian Saulnier of Halifax and Blayre Turnbull of Stellarton. They are the first Nova Scotians ever named to Canada’s Women’s Team.

TOP TWO TEAMS IN MHL MEEK BOTH WIN
  DIEPPE, NB, Qctober 19, 2014 - While the Maritime Junior Hockey League and Roger Meek Division Woodstock Slammers were winning the team's tenth in 11 starts, 7-1 over the Campbellton Tigers in Woodstock Sunday afternoon, the second place Dieppe Commandos were also keeping perfect at home winning 5-4 over the Valley Wildcats.
