MACDONALD OUT FOR FOUR WEEKS

Philadephia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced Friday that defencemen Andrew MacDonald, a 28 year-old NHL veteran from Judique, NS has a lower-body injury and will be out of the lineup for approximately four weeks. He had played in all seven Flyers games this season logging the second most minutes among the D.

X-WOMEN WIN IN OVERTIME AGAINST MOUNTIES
  ANTIGONISH, NS, October 25, 2014 - Three periods of hockey and over six minutes of overtime occurred in the AUS Women's hockey game between Mount Allison Mounties and the St. FX X-Women before any player could get the puck past a goaltender for either team but in the end it was the X-Women who claimed a 1-0 victory.
 
KOYOTES HOWLS QUIETEN THUNDER
  COCAGNE, NB, October 24, 2014 - Cody McDermott scored three goals and added two assists to lead the Kent Koyotes past the Sunny Corner Thunder by a score of 9-1 Friday night at the Cocagne Arena.
