EIGHT ATLANTIC CANADIANS
IN NHL MID-TERM RANKINGS
While there are seven Atlantic Canadians from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the NHL Central Scouting’s Mid-Term Rankings, there are actually eight on the list. Goaltender Frederic Foulem from Dieppe, NB, who is currently playing at Shattuck St Mary’s, a Minnesota based prep school, is also on the list. He is ranked 23rd amongst goaltenders.

  SYDNEY, NS, January 28, 2015 - Twenty year-old Petit de Gret, NS native Miguel Sullivan was outstanding stopping 42 of 43 shots to limit the Chicoutimi Saguenéens to one goal Wednesday night at Centre 200 while Kyle Farrell with two goals provided all the offence the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles needed to defeated the visitors. The 5-1 victory in front of 2,172 was the Eagles third in a row.

  PICTOU COUNTY, NS, January 25, 2015 - The final games in the 2014-15 NS Major Midget schedule finished this weekend with a pair of games Sunday with the Pictou Co. Weeks downing to Valley Wildcats 7-6 and the Halifax McDonalds edging their rivals the Dartmoiuth Newbridge Academy Gladaitors 5-4 in a shootout. On Saturday the Weeks also bested the Wildcats 7-2.
 
WILDCATS PREVAIL OVER TITAN IN SHOOTOUT
  MONCTON, NB, January 25, 2015 - Conor Garland's shootout goal was just what Alex Dubeau needed as he and the Moncton Wildcats picked up the team's 30th win of the season defeating the Acadie Bathurst Titan 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in front of 5713 fans at the Moncton Coliseum. Dubeau shut the door on the Titan in the shootout and stopped 21 of 23 in regulation and overtime.
 
SCREAMING EAGLES SOAR OVER SEA DOGS
  SAINT JOHN, NB, January 25, 2015 - For the second time in three days the Saint John Sea Dogs and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles battled in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Sunday at Harbour Station but this time the Screaming Eagles playing their third game in a row against the Maritime Division's top teams won 4-1. It was their second win in as many days.

Irving Regional Centre was rocking Saturday night for a match-up between the Charlottetown Islanders and the host Acadie-Bathurst Titan with musical group Zazo on hand to present the first of five live performances during Titan games, and the Titan players got in the spirit rocking the Islanders by a 5-1 score.

  QUISPAMSIS, NB, January 23, 2015 - The Miramichi Rivermen edged the Saint John Vitos 5-4 in a shootout with William Basque getting the winning goal in NB-PEI Major Midget action Friday night in a game where only five penalties were called in total.

  HALIFAX, NS, January 11, 2015 - The Saint Mary's Huskies waited until the third period to show their scoring power but in the end the won 2-1 over their cross town rivals the Dalhousie Tigers Sunday. It was their second win of the weekend in AUS Women's Hockey.

  HALIFAX, NS, January 11, 2015 - The Tricom Thunder out of the Avalon Pennisula of Newfound, are the Bantam East Coast Ice Jam champs having edged the Fredericton Canadiens 5-4 in the championship final Sunday afternoon. The Thunder won their semi final game 5-0 over the North West Bulls Saturday night.

  HALIFAX, NS, January 11, 2015 - The Moncton Mark’s Flyers are the Ice Jam Major Midget Champions after shutting out the Rothesay Netherwood Riverhawks 5-0. The played to a 4-1 semi final win over the Cole Harbour Wolfpack, the only team to defeat them in the tournament round robin.

FREDERICTON MEETS TRICOM IN BANTAM FINALS
  HALIFAX< NS, January 11, 2015 - The Fredericton Canadiens will meet the Tricom Thunder for the Major Bantam Championship at the East Coast Ice Jam Sunday afternoon after winning the semi finals in the morning. It took overtime for the Canadiens to advance with a 4-3 win over TriPen Ice while the Thunder downed the North West Bulls 6-2.
 
ALL NEW BRUNSWICK FINAL AT ICE JAM
  HALIFAX, NS, January 11, 2015 - It is an all New Brunswick final at the East Coast Ice Jam as the Moncton Flyers and Rothesay Netherwood Riverhawks won their semi finals Sunday morning. Moncton downed the Cole Harbour Wolfpack 4-1 and the Riverhawks edged the Cape Breton West Islanders 2-1. The championship game is set for a 2:15pm start at the Halifax Forum.

  MONCTON, NB, January 10, 2015 -- Rookie Katryne Villeneuve scored twice for a second evening in a row to lead the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues to a 3-0 white wash of the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game, Saturday evening at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena, in front of 200 spectators.
