PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND 
Irving Oil Provincial Bantam AAA Championship Tournaments will be played this coming weekend in Fredericton and the Cape Breton Regional Municipality while the New Brunswick Midget AAA Development Hockey League teams will be gathering in Cocagne for their championship tournament. Games get underway Thursday.

LUMBERJACKS EVEN SERIES WITH BEARCATS
  BRIDGEWATER, NS, March 9, 2010 - If the Truro Bearcats thought they were going to have an easy series with the Nauss Tim-BR Mart Lumberjacks let them know Tuesday that it isn't going to be so as they downed the visiting Bearcats 3-1 in game two of the best of seven Maritime Junior A Hockey League Maurice Bent Division semifinal series .
 
HUSKIES TAKE CONTROL WITH WIN
  ANTIGONISH, NS - March 9, 2010 - the St. Mary’s Huskies have a stranglehold on the AUS championship series after defeating the St. FX Xmen in double overtime on a goal by Colby Pridham to go up by two games to none in the best three of five series.


 
FROST OUT TO EVEN SERIES THIS WEEKEND
  HARBOUR GRACE, NL, March 10, 2010 - The St. John’s Fog Devils will roll into Harbour Grace Stadium on Friday night at 8:30pm for Game 3 in the NL Major Midget AAA League Championship Series with Tri-Pen Frost and follow it up the next night at Placentia Unity Parc Arena for a 7:30pm contest.
 
SCREAMING EAGLES HONOUR TOP EAGLES OF 09-10
  SYDNEY, NS, March 9, 2010 - Luke Adam, Taylor MacDougall and Brad Cuzner were multiple award winners as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles held their 13th Annual Awards Dinner on Monday March 8th at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre.
 
QMJHL SUSPENDS THREE FOR ILLEGAL HITS
  BOUCHERVILLE, QC, March 9, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that three players, including Saint John Sea Dogs Captain Mike Thomas, have been suspended following incidents which occurred in league games over the weekend.
 
CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND BEGINS THURSDAY
  FREDERICTON, NB, March 9, 2010 - The 2010 Championship Weekend begins Thursday for the 11 teams in the New Brunswick Irving Oil Bantam AAA Hockey League. Over the ensuing three days the final four teams will surface and they will play down to the crowning of a new champion Sunday following the 12:00pm championship game.
 
NB MIDGET AAA CHAMPIONSHIP THIS WEEKEND
  COCAGNE, NB - March 9, 2010 - Cocagne will be alive with hockey players and their friends, families and fans this weekend as the four New Brunswick Midget AAA teams meet to decide who will take home the New Brunswick Provincial title and represent their province at the Atlantics in Summerside, PEI March 18 to 20.


 
RIVERMEN - FLYERS BACK IN ACTION WEDNESDAY
  MONCTON, NB - March 9, 2010 - Wednesday night will be game two in the first to reach eight point series between the Miramichi Rivermen and the Moncton Flyers in the first to reach eight points NB championship finals. The Rivermen are alreayd two points up, having won the opening game 4-1 Monday night.


 
WILDCATS COME ALIVE TO BEAT JUNIORS
  MONCTON, NB, March 8, 2010 - Maybe the Moncton Wildcats slow start Monday night can be attributed to the fact that it was an unusual Monday night game, a makeup for one postponed from November, but whatever the reason, they came alive in the second and third periods to take control of the game and score a 4-1 victory over the Montreal Juniors.
 
NSJHL DOWN TO THE FINAL FOUR
  LOWER SACKVILLE, NS, March 8, 2010 - The Brookfield Elks eliminated the Sackville Blazers from playoff contention in the Nova Scotia Junior (B) Hockey League Monday night to reduce the number of teams in contention for the league and provincial title to the final four, with an 8-4 victory at the Sackville Arena Monday night.
 
MIRAMICHI TAKES FIRST GAME IN SERIES
  MIRAMICHI, NB - March 8,  2010 - The Miramichi Rivermen drew first blood in the finals of the NB Provincial Championship first to reach 8 points series downing the Moncton Flyers 4-1 Monday night in Miramichi.

  TYNE VALLEY PEI, March 7, 2010 - The Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons defeated the Western Red Wings 7-3 in the opening game of their best of seven Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey league semifinal series Sunday night in Tyne Valley.

  TRENTON, NS, March 7, 2010 - In the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League Sid Rowe Division Sunday night, both the Pictou County Scotians and the Antigonish Bulldogs were fighting for their semifinal playoff lives.
 
WESTERN CAPS EVEN SERIES WITH TIMBERWOLVES
  SUMMERSIDE, PEI, March 7, 2010 - The Summerside Western Capitals outscored the Miramichi Timberwolves 3-1 in the second period en route to a 4-2 win Sunday night in Summerside in game two of the best of seven Maritime Junior A Hockey League Roger Meek Division semifinal series between the two teams.

QMJHL, HOCKEY NL LOSE DEDICATED OFFICIAL
  ST. JOHN'S, NL, March 7, 2010 - The Hockey Newfoundland and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League familes are in mourning following the passing of former linesman Michael Dinn. The Newfoundland native passed away Friday at the age of 35 following a battle with colon cancer.
 
CAPS, PHANTOMS BATTLE TO DRAW TO END SEASON
    FREDERICTON, NB, March 7, 2010 - The Fredericton A.L. Gullison Disaster Kleenup Caps rallied to tie the Saint John Phantoms 4-4 Sunday afternoon in New Brunswick Midget AAA Hockey League play at the Aitken Centre and even overtime failed to break the deadlock.
 
DIEPPE CONTINUES TO BATTLE, COME UP SHORT
  DIEPPE, NB, March 7., 2010 - For the second straight playoff game the Dieppe Commandos battled the Woodstock Slammers to the final buzzer only to have the Slammers edge them on the scoreboard. In front of 489 at the Arthur J. LeBlanc Centre and hundreds more on television, the Dieppe Commandos came up short 7-6 Sunday.
 
SEA DOGS FINALLY CLINCH TOP SPOT IN QMJHL
  SAINT JOHN, NB --- The 2009-10 edition of the Saint John Sea Dogs made history on Sunday afternoon, capturing the Jean Rougeau Trophy as QMJHL regular season champions for the first time in franchise history after defeating the Halifax Mooseheads by a score of 5-2 in front of a capacity crowd of 6,488 at Harbour Station.

JOHN’S, NL, March 7, 2010 - St. John’s Fog Devils Zach O’Brien and Scottie Bray will finish their playing days in the Newfoundland and Labrador Major Midget AAA Hockey League the way they began them, by each winning the same individual awards they claimed in their rookie season and in between.
