DIEPPE COMMANDOS WIN KENT CUP
The Moncton-Dieppe area is going to be home for the Kent Cup, emblematic of the Maritime Junior Hockey League champion for the first time in 20 years. The Dieppe Commandos finished a four-game sweep of the defending champion Truro Bearcats Friday night at the Rath-EastLink Community Centre in Truro to claim the title. The Commandos skated to a dominating 5-2 victory to win game four. The team will now represent the MHL at the Fred Page Cup Eastern Canadian Junior A Championship in Cornwall, Ontario at the end of this month on the road to the RBC Cup.

BANTAM AAA ATLANTICS

The Nova Scotia champion Novas added the Irving Oil Cup Atlantic Bantam AAA Championship to there trophy case Sunday edging the host Dartmouth Whalers 2-1 in the championship game at the Dartmouth Sportsplex. The New Brunswick champion Moncton Hawks won the bronze medals shutting down the Prince Edward Island champion Prince County Warriors 7-0. PEEWEE AAA ATLANTICS
The New Brunswick champion EDZA West Stars won the 2015 Bell Aliant Pee Wee AAA Hockey Atlantic Championship edging the TASA Ducks 2-1 at the Andrew H McCain Arena in Wolfville, NS. The host Acadia Axemen blanked the St. John’s Hitmen 2-0 in the bronze medal game. DIEPPE COMMANDOS IS KENT CUP CHAMPIONS
  TRURO, NS, April 17, 2015 - For the first time in 20 years a team from southeastern New Brunswick is the top junior A team in Atlantic Canada and for the first time in 10 years the name of a team from that region will have it’s name on the Kent Cup, emblematic of the champions of the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
 
STARS LEAD WILDCATS TO SERIES ADVANTAGE
  FREDERICTON, NB, April 17, 2015 - The fact that Moncton Wildcats superstars Ivan Barbashev and Conor Garland appeared right at home Friday night as the Wildcats played Halifax Mooseheads in game five of their best of seven Quebec Major Junior Hockey League quarterfinal series at the Aitken Centre should not be surprising.

  HALIFAX, NS, April 15, 2015 - Prior to 16:20 of the first overtime period Wednesday night at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Taylor Burke, a five year Quebec Major Junior Hockey League veteran who now plays with the Moncton Wildcats, had never scored a goal in his hometown or scored an overtime goal. He couldn't have done it at a more opportune time for the Wildcats.

SEA DOGS, HEAD COACH PART COMPANY
  SAINT JOHN, NB, April 14, 2015 - The Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and Head Coach Ross Yates have announced a mutual decision to part ways. While Yates led the Sea Dogs through an unexpectedly strong first half of the season, the team cooled a bit in the second half finishing 10th overall and losing in five games to 7th place Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the playoffs.

  TRURO, NS, April 14, 2015 - The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) and the Bob Boucher Hockey Assistance Fund (BBHAF) have combined forces on a new multi-year endevour geared towards assisting in the academic progression of players in the MHL.
 
LANTZ NATIVE NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR
  WESTFIELD, MA, April 13, 2015 - A 24 year-old student-athlete from Lantz, Nova Scotia, Andrew Wigg, a junior at Plymouth State University, has been named the 2014-15 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and leads the All-Conference team as voted on by the coaches from around the league.

  MONCTON, NB, April 13, 2015 - Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League top scorer, Marc-Anthony Therrien, a native of Victoriaville, QC, has enrolled in education (physical education) at Universite de Moncton and is looking forward to joining the Aigles Bleus Atlantic University Sport men's hockey team for the next season.
 
JUNIOR VITOS CAPTURE NB JUNIOR B TITLE
  MONCTON, NB, April 12, 2015 - After battling the Hotel Shediac Predateurs through six games the regular season champion Moncton Junior Vitos finally won the New Brunswick Junior B Championship with a 5-2 victory Sunday night in game seven of the best of seven championship series at the Redball Internet Centre in Moncton.
 
NEWBRIDGE JOINS NEW PRE SCHOOL LEAGUE
  LOWER SACKVILLE, NS, April 12, 2015 - Newbridge Academy has joined the newly created Prep School Hockey Federation. Newbridge Academy will enter a U16 and U18 boys team in the league, which will give student-athletes the opportunity to experience a highly competitive hockey environment while at the same time gaining much needed NCAA and CIS exposure all while in an enhanced private school setting.
 
COMMANDOS PREVAIL IN OPENING GAME
  DIEPPE, NB, Apeil 12, 2015 - The Dieppe Commandos and the Truro Bearcats were tied 1-1 after the opening period of the opening game of the best of seven Maritime Junior Hockey League Kent Cup Championship Series, 2-2 after the second and 3-3 after the third and it took a goal by Commandos captain Ryan Langan 59 seconds into overtime to decide a winner.

  DARTMOUTH, NS, April 9, 2015 - DARTMOUTH, N.S. –Three games at the Irving Oil Challenge Cup opened the first day. Two were close and on a shutout as all five teams played. The Novas (NS) won 5-3 pver the St. John’s Ice Breakers (NL) while the Moncton Hawks (NB) edged the Prince County Warriors 4-3. The late night game between the hoist Dartmouth Whalers and the Novas ended with Dartmouth winning 6-0.
 
OPENING DAY AT PEE WEE ATLANTICS
  WOLFVILLE, NS, Both early games at the Bell Aliant Pee Wee Atlantic Championships ended in a 4-3 score, one of them in regulation and one in overtime. NOEL NAMED TO CANADA'S UNDER 18 TEAM
  CALGARY, AB, April 9, 2015 – The names of the first 17 players who will be a part of Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team for the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, which will be held April 16-26 in Zug and Lucerne, Switzerland, were unveiled on Thursday by Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League.
 
SEA DOGS TO PICK FIRST IN 2015 QMJHL DRAFT
  MONTREAL, QC, April 9, 2015 - The Saint John Sea Dogs has won the right to select first overall in the 2015 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft. The Sea Dogs using a pick that originally belonged to Drummondville Voltigeurs won the selection process that also involved the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
 
BANTAM ATLANTICS HITS ICE THURSDAY
  DARTMOUTH, NS, April 8, 2015 - Five Bantam AAA teams will take to the ice starting tomorrow (Thursday) at 2:00pm to decide which of them will become the 2015 Irving Oil Challenge Cup champs, as the top Bantam team in the Atlantic region.

  ABRAM-VILLAGE, PEI, April 8, 2015 – The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers outscored the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings 7-5 on Tuesday night in game four for their fourth straight win in the best of seven Island Junior Hockey League championship series but that is only part of the story. DOMOKOS HELPS HIS TEAM TO NATIONAL TITLE
  AMHERST NY, April 7, 2015 , 2015 - Ethan Domokos of Quispamsis, NB had the perfect end to a perfect season when he and his Shattuck-St. Mary’s Sabres teammates won the USA Tier 1 16U National Championship in Amherst, NY at the end of March.

  MIRAMICHI, NB, April 6, 2015 - For the Dieppe Commandos the goal in the second overtime by Robbie Graham was finally mission accomplished. With the win the Maritime Junior Hockey League regular season champion won it's second consecutive Roger Meek Division championship.

  CAP-PELE, NB, April 5, 2015 - Pascale Dupuis scored two goals as the Moncton Junior Vito’s defeated Hotel Shediac Predators 7-1 in Cap Pele on Sunday night to even the best of seven New Brunswick Junior B Championship series at two games apiece.The series continues Thursday night at the Red Ball Internet Centre in Moncton at 7:35pm and back in Cap Pele for at 7:30pm Friday night.

  KNSINGTON, PEI, April 5, 2015 - The Dartmouth Newbridge Academy Gladiators are the Major Midget Atlantic Champions and will now move on to the Telus Cup national major midget championship in Riviere du Loup having defeating the Moncton Flyers 4-3 in the gold medal game.
 
MAJOR MIDGET ATLANTIC AWARDS WINNERS
  KENSINGTON, PEI, April 4, 2015 - Chris Sarault of the Moncton Flyers (NB) walked away with the top awards at the Major Midget Atalantics award banquet held Saturday night. He was named the TELUS Most Valuable Player and received the Telus Scholarship. As well he took the top forward award, was among the tournaments top scorers and was named to the first All Star Team.
 
WESTERN WARRIORS WIN BRONZE
  PARADISE, NL, April 5, 2015 - The Western Warriors (NL) took home the bronze medal at the Bantam Female Atlantics with a 5-2 win over the Mid Isle Wildcats (PEI) Sunday morning and they came from behind with four goals in the third to win.
 
OVERTIME GOAL KEEPS TIMBERWOLVES ALIVE
  DIEPPE, NB, April 4, 2015 - Veteran Billy Gaston scored his second goal of the game 22 seconds into overtime to give the Miramichi Timberwolves a 6-5 victory over the Dieppe Commandos 6-5 and avoid elimination Saturday night in game five of the Maritime Junior Hockey League Roger Meek Division championship series at the Arthur J. LeBlanc Arena in Dieppe.
 
FLYERS END ROUND ROBIN WITH THIRD WIN
  KENSINGTON, PEI, April 4, 2015 - The Moncton Flyers (NB) skated to a 6-2 win over the Charlottetown Islanders (PEI) in the final round robin game of the 2015 Major Midget Atlantics. to take first place and move on to the championship game Sunday. They will play the Dartmouth Newbridge Academy Gladiators (NS) the only team they tied in the round robin, winning the other three.

  KENSINGTON, PEI, April 4, 2015 - The Dartmouth Newbridge Academy Gladiators (NS) and the Kensington Wild (host) played to a 5-5 tie in their final game of the Major Midget Atlantics. The tie by Dartmouth and a win in a later game moved the two teams on to the finals tomorrow at 1:00pm with the winner of that game moving on to the Telus Cup, national championship.

  PARADISE, NL, April 3, 2015 - The final two games Friday at the Bantam Female Atlantics featured a close game between the Bedford Blues (NS) and the Mid Isle Wildcats (PEI) with the Isles on the winning end of a 4-3 score. Host Eastern Ice Breakers downed the Western Warriors (NL) 5-1 to lead the Atlantics.
