SCREAMING EAGLES OPT FOR FIVE MARITIMERS
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 6, 2010 - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles made a total of 10 picks during the Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft Saturday, including five players from Quebec and five from the Maritimes.

MOOSEHEADS PICK FIVE IN FIRST THREE ROUNDS
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 6, 2010 - The Halifax Mooseheads stocked their team with a total of 13 picks in the 12 round Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft, including five in the first three. In all they picked nine forwards, three defence and one goaltender.


 
QUEBEC TEAMS CHOOSE 21 MARITIMERS IN DRAFT
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 6, 2010 - A total of 21 Atlantic Canadians heard their names called by Quebec based teams during the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s entry draft, including 11 players from Nova Scotia, 9 from New Brunswick and one each from Newfoundland amd PEI.

 
TITANS MAKE DO WITH SEVEN DRAFT PICKS
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 5, 2010 - The Bathurst Titan had to make do with just seven draft picks but they managed to pick up some quality players, including three Maritimers, all from Nova Scotia at the Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft.


 
WILDCATS PICK EIGHT MARITIMERS IN DRAFT
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 5, 2010 - Despite not owning a pick in the first round, by the end of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft the Moncton Wildcats had chosen 13 players to add to their list of players who will travel to Moncton in mid August for training camp.

WILDCATS PICK MIRAMICHI'S MALONE
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 5, 2010 - The Moncton Wildcats selected Brett Malone of the Miramichi Rivermen as their second pick of the afternoon in the third round of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft. He was the first Atlantic Canadian added to their team this year.

 
HALIFAX ADDS TWO ATLANTIC CANADIANS TO TEAM
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 5, 2010 - The Halifax Mooseheads have picked up two Atlantic Canadians with the 19th and 25th picks at the Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft naming Andrew Ryan of Newfoundland and Darcy Ashley of P.E.I.

 
SEA DOGS PICK HOME TOWN TESINK
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 5, 2010 - With the last pick of the first round, the Saint John Sea Dogs opted for home town junior hockey player Ryan Tesink as their draft pick in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League entry draft. Tesink was the fourth Atlantic Canadian chosen.

 
BURKE AND HACHE FIRST MARITIMERS DRAFTED
DRUMMONDVILLE, QC - June 5, 2010 - The first two Atlantic Canadian players have been picked in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey entry draft with Taylor Burke of Cole Harbour Midgets going to Gatineau seventh and Justin Hache of the Miramichi Rivermen going to Shawinigan eighth.

DRUMMONDVILLE, QC, June 3, 2010 - There are 23 Atlantic Canadians listed by Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Central Scouting at prospects to be drafted in the first five rounds of Saturday’s Entry Draft. Thirteen of them are from Nova Scotia, six from New Brunswick and three from Prince Edward Island.

MONCTON, NB, June 8, 2009 - Saturday's Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft opened the door to hockey opportunities for 51 Atlantic Canadians as their names were called out by one of the 18 league teams.
 
WILDCATS HAVE SOLID DAY AT DRAFT
MONCTON, NB – June 8, 2009 – Danny Flynn, head coach of the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League said he was both happy and excited after he had had a chance to review his picks at the league’s entry draft held this past weekend in Moncton. “It was quite a change from the past few years,” he said.
 
BOTH NOVA SCOTIA TEAMS HAPPY WITH DRAFT
MONCTON, NB - June 7, 2009 - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Halifax Mooseheads both said they thought the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League entry draft had gone very well and they were pleased with the players they had managed to get even though Halifax had to wait patiently to almost the end of the first and Cape Breton to late in the second round.
 
TYRONE SOCK GOES TO SAINT JOHN IN DRAFT
MONCTON, NB - June 7, 2009 - It was a big day for 15 year old Tyrone Sock, a rookie on the Moncton Midget AAA Flyers last season, when he heard his name called by the Saint John Sea Dogs in round four and eagerly came to the table where he was greeted by fellow Flyer Pierre Durepos, the Sea Dogs first pick.
 
JONES FROM LAMEQUE TITAN FIRST DRAFT PICK
MONCTON, June 7, 2009 - The Acadie Bathurst Titan had to wait until the second round to make their first draft pick at the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s entry draft in Moncton but when they did they got exactly the player they wanted, Patrick Jones of Lameque, then followed that up immediately with their second pick Brice Millson of Miramichi.
 
SAULNIER TWINS DRAFTED BY MONCTON
MONCTON, NB - June 6, 2009 - Allain Saulnier heard his name called by the Moncton Wildcats in the fourth round and will now be waiting to see if his twin brother Alex is drafted in a later round and if that will also be by Moncton. Earlier they had indicated they wanted to continue to play together on the same team.
 
KENNEDY FIRST NOVA SCOTIAN TAKEN IN DRAFT
MONCTON, NB - June 6, 2009 - The first Nova Scotian player, Jordan Kennedy, was taken ninth in the second round of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League entry draft here Saturday  afternoon, when the Lewiston Maineacs chose the Glace Bay native who had played this past season with the Cape Breton Tradesmen. 
 
MONCTON"S TOP PICKS FROM QUEBEC
MONCTON, NB - June 6, 2009 - With their first pick of the first round of the QMJHL Entry Draft, the Moncton Wildcats picked Raphael Bussieres of College Charles Lemoyne who was ranked third by Central Scouting and with their second pick of the round chose Dillion Donnelly, also of the Quebec MAAA, ranked #19.
 
DUREPOS FIRST ATLANTIC CANADIAN TAKEN IN DRAFT
MONCTON, NB - June 6, 2009 - Pierre Durepos was the first Atlantic Canadian to hear his name called at the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League draft in Moncton when the Saint John Seadogs made him their first choice with the 10th pick in the first round.

MONCTON, NB - June 5, 2009 - Gilles Courteau, president of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, feels there is nothing against players making a decision to follow the NCAA route or even saying they are seriously looking at going to an American University and then changing their minds. "But I don’t agree with the game playing that sometimes happens," he added.
