PORT HAWKESBURY, NS, August 20, 2010 - Former Strait Pirate Johnny Carabin, 22, of Point Edward was killed Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with a Cape Breton Rrgional Municipality public works truck.

TRENTON, NS, August 8, 2010 - The Pictou County Scotians of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League has named 36 year-old Stellarton, NS, native Sean Fraser as the team's new head coach. Fraser will replace George Frazee for the 2010-11 season.
 
ELKS NAME CHRIS SPRAGUE AS HEAD COACH
BROOKFIELD, NS, July 7, 2010 - The Brookfield Elks Junior B Hockey Club has announced that Chris Sprague has been named the team’s new head coach for the upcoming season. Chris replaces Josh Boulton who moved on to become head coach of the Truro Major Bantam Bearcats.
